From the Crucifixion of Jesus (Justification--Declared Righteous) - Scripture
"Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ," --Romans 5:1
"For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly." --Romans 5:6
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." --Romans 5:8
"For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life." --Romans 5:10
"So then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted justification of life to all men." --Romans 5:18
"Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death?" --Romans 6:3
From the Resurrection of Jesus (Sanctification - Surrendered/Growing in Righteousness)
"Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven." --Matthew 5:16
"I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances." --Ezekiel 36:25-27
"for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure." --Philippians 2:12-13
"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (victory). But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit." --2 Corinthians 3:17-18
"The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me." --John 17:22-23
"Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life." --Romans 6:4
1.) Building on a Firm Foundation: Why Christian Education Matters
"Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock." --Matthew 7:24-25
"True education means more than the pursuit of a certain course of study. It means more than a preparation for the life that now is. It has to do with the whole being, and with the whole period of existence possible to man." (Education, p. 13)
Thought: It's so vital to build children's lives on the solid foundation of Christian education, believing leaders guiding them not only academically but spiritually for eternity--growing in the fellowship of believers.
2.) Faith, Character, and Service: Core Values of Adventist Education
"Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it." --Proverbs 22:6
"The education of a child should not stop at mere intellectual development. The education that prepares the child for service, both here and in eternity, is the education to be sought." (Child Guidance, p. 293)
Thought: Explore the transformative power of Adventist education in shaping children’s character, faith, and commitment to serving others.
3.) Partnering with Heaven: Parents, Teachers, and God's Role in Education
"And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up." --Deuteronomy 6:6-7
"In the highest sense, the work of education and the work of redemption are one, for in education, as in redemption, ‘other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.’" (Education, p. 30)
Thought: The best protection comes through the vital partnership between parents, educators, and God in nurturing children through a Christ-centered educational system.
4.) Adventist Schools: Where Faith Meets Excellence
"And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise." --Philippians 4:8
"Higher than the highest human thought can reach is God's ideal for His children. Godliness—godlikeness—is the goal to be reached." (Education, p. 18)
Thought: Showcase the academic excellence and holistic education that Adventist schools offer, focusing on mental, physical, and spiritual development.
5.) Eternity Begins Now: Preparing Children for This Life and the Next
"Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come." --1 Timothy 4:8
"Higher education is an experiential knowledge of the plan of salvation. Such an education will renew the mind and transform the character, restoring the image of God in man." (Christ’s Object Lessons, p. 115)
Thought: Adventist education prepares children not just for success in this world but for eternal life, aligning their education with their ultimate destiny.
6.) Shaping Tomorrow’s Leaders: The Influence of a Christ-Centered Education
"For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." --Jeremiah 29:11
"With such an army of workers as our youth, rightly trained, might furnish, how soon the message of a crucified, risen, and soon-coming Savior might be carried to the whole world!" (Education, p. 271)
Thought: Adventist education helps develop future leaders who will have both the competence and character to influence the world for good.
7.) Hope and Promise for Parents: Trusting God with Your Child’s Education
"I will teach all your children, and they will enjoy great peace." --Isaiah 54:13
"In His wisdom the Lord has provided for the development of character through Christian education." (Counsels to Parents, Teachers, and Students, p. 187)
Thought: Trust in God's plan for God's children's education, be assured that sending children to an Adventist school is a reliable investment in both their earthly and heavenly future.
